Arsenal Defender Blames Johnson For Injury

Arsenal’s French right back Bacary Sagna has blamed Bradley Johnson for broken leg suffered by the defender in their 3-3 draw against Norwich City on Saturday.

Sagna was stretchered off, after what seemed to be a tackle of intent to say the least, by the opposition midfielder Johnson. This injury means that Sagna will miss the European Championship for France in June, causing more problems for the national manager Laurent Blanc.

The 29-year old said, “I think he did it on purpose. He stepped on my leg. Play continues, I get back on my feet. And when I tried to control the ball, I felt a crack, just like the first time at Tottenham.

“He stepped right where the plate was. I think the plate pressured (the bone). It’s a neat break, just above the plate.

“That’s how it is. It’s football. It has happened to others before me. I came back once, I will come back a second time. Even stronger.”

Tough luck for the former Auxerre man.
