Cazorla Desperate For Move To Arsenal?

Cash strapped Malaga’s Qatari owners are in talks with Albanian oil magnate Rezart Taci over the possible sale of the club but Santi Cazorla is determined to push through his move to the Emirates.

In June 2010, amid growing financial problems, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Thani completed his takeover of the La Liga club and immediate influx of cash ensued. Likes of Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Martin Demichelis and Santi Cazorla all arrived for big money transfers and under the managerial leadership of Manuel Pellegrini, they qualified for the Champions League last season.

However, the club still has outstanding debt to settle in terms of unpaid wages, transfer fees, texes and the Spanish Football Federation has urged the club to pay up by the 1^st of August. The increasing complexity in the financial conditions of the club has forced Al-Thani to hold talks over a possible takeover with Albanian oil tycoon Taci who was once linked with a takeover bid of AC Milan.

With £40m outstanding, Arsenal’s £18m bid for Santi Cazorla could prove handy to clear all dues although the club maintains that they would not need to sell off their stars to make outstanding payments.
