Chelsea Consider Options For Inconsistent Torres

Chelsea are currently assessing available options in the market as they look to add more firepower to their striking department after Fernando Torres failed to impress in the pre season.
The Blues have spent close to £65m this summer already to breathe in young and fresh talent into the their ageing squad with the likes of Eden Hazard, Marko Marin and recently Brazilian teenager Oscar. However, with the departure of their star striker Didier Drogba to China and Romelu Lukaku’s stunted growth as a player, Roberto Di Matteo is now contemplating bringing in more strikers in to the squad.
The reigning European champions presently have only out of favor Daniel Strurridge as back up to the inconsistent Torres in the strike department and Di Matteo is exploring all avenues. The move to bring in Porto star Hulk failed with the Primeira Liga club demanding close to £40 while Bayer Leverkusen’s Andrea Schurrle continues to be linked with a move to the Stamford Bridge.
The Londoners have admitted that they are not done with the shopping for the summer and most recently have been linked with Marseille’s Loic Remy along with Newcastle United. But sources close to the club confirm, that the interest in Hulk has not diminished yet but the probability of a deal going through looks slim.

I will want chelsea 2 build dis team round brazillian players,that is get leandro damaio as backup striker 4 torres,hulk as a right winger, neymar 2 compete wit hazard nd marin down d left wing, and a skillfull pacy young rightback 2 d team. Dis will bring bite and contesion of starting place in d team…up blues….roman pls make sure u get us demaio,hulk nd ganso before d transfer shuts out cos neymar likely 2 b 2014 ….up chelsea.

Haha! What another stupid article. Torres has not even played but a small bit in only two of their preseason games because he was busy winning the Euro 2012 with Spain and winning the Golden Boot. People are already starting this again.. Too funny. Let Torres actually get some time on pitch first…

Chelsea seems to be a poor plaYer again. Though our problem is we don’t have the main striker in the squad the 50M man fernando torres has been found isolated again after his poor parformers last summer. I don’t realy knw what is wrong with torres and i dnt think he wil quikly adapt. This is nt the torres we knw at liverpool. We wil stil gv him a trial Chelsea vs man city on sunday is a greatst game of their entire life so hw can we do it the start up 11 should be Mikel,marin,mata,hazard,terry,luiz,cazil,ivanovic,ramires,torres,nd cech, i think it wil be well for us, the 4-3-3 formation is dead so lets go with 4-2-3-1 lampard in the second half for main action. I think RDM should go back to market nd shop fr a rightback nd a good centreforward, i also feel buying Oscar is a waste of money Koz we have options in midfield. If i may sugest the best person to replace Drogba is Nigeria’s Brown Ideye, he is strong,skillful,has turbo shots and can score breath taking goals, he may even come cheap not like other over priced strikers, that is if Dinamo wil sale their most priced asset. Essien /Lampard /Mikel /Ramires /Raul
and
Hazzard ,Marin ,Mata
Lampard keeps getting forward and the other two are forced to help the defense and Raul just helps the other team .
You have to remember we are STUCK with Malouda ,Essien ,Raul ,Paulo no one wants them because of their high wages .

Lampard is a stat-monger and always slides up to center forward to steal goals.. between he and the selfish Strurridge, Torres may suffer again. If any of you noticed, Torres dummied the pass perfectly for Lampard last friendly. Torres is so unselfish, it will hurt him at Chelsea. He needs to take it on and just score with linkage from Mata and Hazard. Lampard is all about himself and thinks he’s a striker..so it’s not going to be easy with such greedy midfielders..

Torres has only played a handul of minutes since returning from the Euro’s. IF anyone hasn’t impressed, it has been the rest of the squad. Nino played limitly against Milan, and then at the beginning of this week. He had a good euro, and has only been back to train for not even a couple of weeks
