Manager Wipes The Floor With Arsenal’s Santos

Brazilian coach Mano Menezes has justified his decision to omit Arsenal defender Andre Santos citing the player’s ‘tactical irresponsibility’ as the primary reason behind his decision.
The 29 year Santos has not turned out for the national side since last year’s Copa America and their coach doesn’t see a reason why that should change. The Arsenal full back was used more as a squad player last season as he showed lack of defensive discipline in his game, leading Arsene Wenger to persist with lesser experienced players in Kieran Gibbs and young star Coquelin.
Menezes, who also managed the player while at Corinthians, was merciless in his criticism.
“The issue surrounding Andre Santos is a tactical one,” Menezes told ESPN Brazil.
“He made my remaining hair become grey when we were at Corinthians. Why? Because he is tactically irresponsible.
“We can’t afford that kind of tactical risk in the national team.”
Arsene Wenger would hardly differ from what the Samba coach had to speak of Santos. Should Santos be offloaded in the summer?

I think a rule should be pass in order to prevent unqualified pple to be posting articles on de net wat nonsense santos did not miss matches bcos he is a squad player but due to injury.

santos is a great player that has given arsenal 7 goals in half season as a defender,clichy spent4 season wt jst 5 goals,pls mr wenger shld give santos more playing tym at arsenal if he is injury free,let menez come out nd say bad about him we arsenal fans love him!

Mendez? Who is he? guiding Brazil to a humiliation by Argentina. Any coach worth his sort would use Santos as a weapon to unlock defenses while always having a cover for him in defense. In 4-3-3 system where you have a 3-strike force, Santos is the perfect real deal to act as the left winger if he gets a good cover at the back. like Kos I back him to oust Gibbs.
