RVP Looking To Avoid Long Transfer Saga

After returning to training with Arsenal, club captain Robin van Persie has stated his wish of sitting down with manager Arsene Wenger and chief executive Ivan Gazidis to hold crunch talks regarding his future, and solve the matter at the earliest.

The Dutchman’s announcement a fortnight ago regarding his decision of not renewing his contract, which still has a year to run, has given renewed hope to clubs like Manchester City, Juventus and Real Madrid, who are circling around the striker, ready to pounce at the earliest possible chance.

With many expecting to see the 28-year old leave the Emirates Stadium this summer itself, van Persie wishes to make his future clear as soon as possible, and avoid a long drawn transfer saga, which could possibly turn sour.

A spokesperson for Arsenal revealed to The Sun, “Robin returned to training on Monday as expected and made it clear he wants to sit down and resolve the matter of his future, either way, as soon as possible.

No date has yet been agreed for that meeting.”

Now, the million dollar question is, will Robin van Persie stay at Arsenal ?

    Please stop this saga.
    RVP wants to leave now.
Arsenal fans want him to leave now.
This is when a David Dein would be useful
Arsene’s staff should negotiate for the best bid.
Get RVP to undergo a medical and then sign a new contract asap.
Start moves towards getting new players to join Arsenal asap.

I have just seen the squad training pictures on arsenal.com. Now if I was a betting man I’d put money on RvP staying for at least another year. I counted at least 4 pictures out of 20 with RvP centred and smiling. He loves arsenal, with him in the team we can certainly challenge for trophies and he loves life in London. I would be happy for him to stay. He’ll do a Rooney. Betcha.

If he leaving then i would advise that he should be allowed to go and a/some possible replacement brought in to the club as well as a creative midfielder and a good goalkeeper.

I had rather advice arsene wenger and the board to let him go……..his mind is no longer with us…….we’ve got enough back up for is departure upfront………wot we need is just a creating midfielder and a back up defence…….to hell with ROBIN and his want away crew

its a dicy situation but i’ll prefer Wenger to let him play the year left and allow him to go free, cuz i know for sure dat he’ll extend his contract. At age 30 next year who will buy such an injury prone?

It has gone on long enough. I really, really, hate these transfer ‘saga’s. It disrupts the team’s preparations and leaves a sour taste afterwards. End it NOW.
