Spurs Look To Snatch Arsenal’s M’Vila

After Arsenal cooled off their interest in Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila, London rivals Tottenham have emerged as strong contenders to lure him to the Premier League.

Arsenal were favorites to sign the highly rated French midfielder this summer but after prolonged speculation, they have decided to stop pursuing him. M’Vila was touted as the top transfer target for the Gunners ahead of the next season but the youngster’s disciplinary history has raised enough doubts in the Arsenal camp to put the deal off. M’Vila was involved in a brawl with former French coach Laurent Blanc after their disappointing exit from the Euros and had to be reprimanded by the French FA.

Tottenham have meanwhile, shown interest in the Rennes star and could be poised for a move as they continue to seek replacement for Luka Modric. Spurs, who missed out on Champions League qualification narrowly last term, have appointed Andre Villas Boas as their new manager and want to consolidate their squad before the new season commences. They are willing to offer the Ligue 1 club a fee of around £9.5m although Rennes value the player at £12m.

Inter Milan were also believed to be interested in M’Vila and the French side are confident that Spurs’ interest will rekindle Inter’s and help them get a better offer for the highly talented midfielder.

what the hell r u on about?
frimpong and coquelin much better than him?

if they were better then why would real madrid, arsenal, spuds, inter milan and bayern munich (used to be interested) want m’vila and not frimpong and coquelin.
any way this guy is amazing, he has a fantastic vision, he can split the opposition’s defence from the half way line, is strong, composed on the ball and distributes his passes brilliantly and not forgetting his countless interceptions and tackles.
on average he makes 3.1 tackles per game, higher than xabi alonso, de rossi, and schwainstiger.

Coquelin makes 3.2 tackles per game – just saying.

If M’Vial is so damn good why have there been no bids whatsoever for him. Simple – he’s not actually that good, he’s a young player with potential, and well overpriced by Rennes.

Do not want the guy … He seems like a thug and bully. He has been cautioned over assault this season! I want bender out because of his behaviour over the last year and I am glad he seems to be going. Arsenal do not want or need these types of people. Let the scum down the road scrape the bottom of the barrel for people like M’villa

Obviously its not a snatch of M’Vila from Arsenal, because there is no interest from Wenger. There have been NO bids for M’Vila to date from anybody (confirmed by Rennes). The season is not over yet, but its unlikely we will see a fight for this player. There are better DMs avvailable in Capoue, Allen, Biglia, Martinez etc
