Arsenal fans dealt with another blow to their already poor season, after their side slumped out of the FA Cup with a 2-0 defeat in the hands of Sunderland, when Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp confirmed his interest in signing Lille winger Eden Hazard.

Hazard has been a long term target for the Gunners, and thought as the star needed to ignite their squad strength for the seasons ahead, but this news comes as a big blow to manager Arsene Wenger, who has been an admirer of the Belgian wingwizard.

The 21-year old has not cornered himself to one club, instead, began a bidding war among interested parties, not ruling out any club in the frame. This has given a serious indication that it will be benefits and monetary terms involved in signing the Belgian international.

Redknapp confirmed, “Hazard is a player that we have spoken about,

“He is a player who is definitely on our list.

“We spoke about him a few weeks ago. We started talking about possibly getting him in then.”
